Phillies already Trading their Future for Today

John Middleton deems Jonathan Arauz too Good to Keep

Jonathan Arauz Astros Phillies
Jonathan Arauz Signs Contract with Phillies

David Price and Zack Greinke got paid big this winter. Not by John Middleton though. In fact the whole pitching market seems to have gone up in price so far. When your team has a $6 Billion TV deal that shouldn't be any problem at all. However, if your team is owned by a balls out criminal like John Middleton who thinks nothing of ripping off $200 million from his own sister it's a completely different ballgame that you're playing.

Fortunately for John Middleton he has the racist Philadelphia media 100% behind him. The player you see pictured above - Jonathan Arauz - doesn't exist anywhere in the corporate media discussion of the Phillies. Kevin Maitan - profiled in my last post - is completely unknown to most Phillies fans and the media in Philadelphia is going to keep it that way. The Braves have an illegal, unenforceable verbal agreement to pay that generational SS talent just $4.5 million when he's easily worth $30 million. Yet you can't find an article or any discussion about Kevin Maitan and John Middleton allowing the Phillies alleged division "rival" to have Maitan at a bargain price.

This is the way things work in the land of "42". The July 2nd market does not exist. Where do all those international star players come from? For the "42" market the answer most give is a shrug of the shoulders and perhaps a comment like "Who knows? We don't have none of those on the Phillies so it don't matter"

So John Middleton's collusion with the Braves against Kevin Maitan continues.

John Middleton's rape of the Phillies fan base also continues unobstructed and with the exception of myself and a few angry commenters on the ever rarer comment sections of corporate media, John Middleton's epic ripoff of the fourth largest market in the USA goes on at an ever more rapid pace.

Jonathan Arauz Astros Phillies
Jonathan Arauz wearing Phillies red in the GCL at age 16

Above you see Jonathan Arauz at the plate, in a Phillies uniform in the Gulf Coast League this past summer. Arauz was still 16 years old. Arauz was playing against some recently drafted four year University grads. Arauz caught the attention of the entire scouting base in MLB. Ben Badler at Baseball America raved about Arauz in a way I had not witnessed by him since he gushed over a teenager named Rougned Odor.

The Rangers were recently rumored to be offering Odor an eight year deal, trying to buy out some of his early free agent years. This is what John Middleton is going way out of his way to avoid. Any player with the potential to get to free agency by age 27 and get an eight year deal is someone John Middleton does not want on the Phillies.

The Phillies had another GCL player who they paid an additional 100k for in Luis "Hands of Stone" Encarnacion. He is listed to 1B and will fit best as a DH if his bat advances. The fact that the Phillies will have no long term use for such a player is what makes him a keeper for John Middleton, who is already planning his next rebuild.

This is now "The Phillies Way". A brief period of contention followed by a 12 to 15 year rebuild. It's all by design. The Phillies payroll is under $70 million and they take in $200 million minimum before they sell their first ticket. John Middleton's bank accounts are being flooded with new money that should be used to buy players but instead is going to Palm Beach to finish and furnish his mansion and out to Hollywood where his greedy thieving son @johnmiddleton (his Twitter address) is planning the purchase of more film production companies and buying more mansions and beach houses.

So what did Phillies fans get for trading the future - during a rebuild! - for today? Well, they didn't get Cliff Lee.

Mark Appel is already a certified bust. Finding a conversation about Appel among prospect ranking media folk is about as scarce as a discussion about Domonic Brown. In fact, being released on waivers is in Appel's future, it's just a matter of how long the process is allowed to run. Unfortunately for Phillies fans that is likely to be quite a long time since Appel is a graduate of Stanford.

You see, Stanford is a very special place for Super Republican John Middleton. Stanford University is an elite university on this planet and it is a Republican University. On this blog you can see John Middleton photographed with international War Criminal Condoleezza Rice, an event that took place in Philadelphia. John Middleton is a big financial contributor to the Republican party.

Why did John Mayberry Jr. last for a part of six seasons with the Phillies? 500 games,  1,370 plate Appearances producing 1.2 WAR. One point two. Not twelve, one point two Wins Above Replacement. Over parts of six seasons. 500 games. 1,370 PA.

John Mayberry Jr. is a Stanford man.

Ruin Tomorrow Junior. I've never used that nick before, but after being horrified at the trashing of the Phillies fans future by including Jonathan Arauz in this deal for a 24 year old certified bust of a number one pick, it seems disturbingly relevant.

Ruben Amaro Jr is a Stanford graduate.

Expect Mark Appel to get a second chance with the Phillies and then a third chance followed by a fourth chance. We know he's a bust right now, but it's going to be years before John Middleton will be willing to cut the cord. During these years John Middleton's stooges Matt Klentak and eventually Andy MacPhail will be assigned the blame for the Appel/Arauz "mistake". It isn't their fault per se. Their blame only goes as far as they are taking John Middleton's money in exchange for being his front men in public. They have no honor to be spoken for, but blaming them is like looking past John Gotti and blaming the pile of dismembered buried corpses on his soldiers.

What Jimmy Rollins Farewell Letter Tells Us About John Middleton

You notice who is not mentioned in Jimmy Rollins letter?

John Middleton

JOHN MIDDLETON

Neither father nor son (@johnmiddleton He's on Twitter! ! !)

No one from the Betz family. No one from the Buck family. The players had to wear patches on their uniforms for Claire Betz and others when they passed on, but Jimmy does not mention them.

That tells you everything you need to know about who owns the Phillies and what they really care about. Even one of the most infamous MLB owners in many of our lifetimes, Marge Schott, was not unknown to her players. Sure many of them wish she had been a "mystery" to them, but she did care about the team. None of the people who despised her doubted that whether players, fans or MLB writers.

No one has ever seen John Middleton at Citizens Bank Park. No one from the other families (crime?) are ever seen at CBP. Clearly the players do not know them. Jimmy Rollins mentioned everyone of consequence in his letter who had impacted him, and as we can see, in the 18 years he spent as an "iconic player" no one in the ownership of the Phillies made any impression on him.

How many times have we watched Bill Giles hand the NL Trophy to a team not named "Phillies" in October (you noticed he skipped this year?)? Bill Giles father was the President of the National League. It was this connection - that Bill Giles was born with - that allowed Giles to assemble this group of billionaires in the Philadelphia area to purchase the Phillies and take a 15% cut of the ownership as a commission for doing so.

Mentions of Bill Giles in Jimmy Rollins letter?

ZERO

I don't get to watch other local TV coverage for MLB teams but I've seen Mike Ilitch watching his Tigers many times. I've seen John Henry watching his Red Sox. Hal Steinbrenner, the son of George, holds press conferences to address the Yankees on-field issues. I've seen Mark Walter in the stands at Dodger stadium high-fiving other Dodgers fans as the Dodgers score runs.

Yet I've never seen John Middleton at a Phillies game. The cameras sweep the entirety of Citizens Bank Park 81 times per year on Comcast SportsNet (CSN). Yet John Middleton is never in focus during a Phillies game. We are treated to interviews (really annoying too) by Greg Murphy of all manner of celebrities during Phillies games, but John Middleton is never one of those interviews. Neither is any member of the Betz or Buck families.

I would like to thank Jimmy Rollins as a Phillies fan for not only all the great years of baseball, but for what he said after the 2014 season ended when he challenged these owners of the Phillies to spend money, to shop the open markets and buy the players needed to make the Phillies a winner again.

Of course, the rest of the MLB media both in Philadelphia and nationally ignored this Jim Salisbury bylined article full of spot on quotes from Jimmy Rollins. Oh Salisbury is a fixture at the rumors site, but not this article.

No, every professional and wannabe professional MLB writer knows who and what the Phillies owners are, and all of these well kept folks (blackmailable?) know better than to go against the wind being blown from the lungs of John Middleton. These writers have never mentioned John Powers Middleton being on Twitter (@johnmiddleton). They never will. They pretend to not know that J.P. Middleton exists.

BILL CONLIN Philadelphia Daily News

You won't read one article about the missing Phillies owners in Jimmy Rollins farewell letter. Every sports media outlet -local and national- provides cover for the bloodsuckers who are robbing the Phillies fan base of their money.  The Dodgers and Angels celebrated their new TV deals by purchasing division titles, and now the Dodgers spent the most money in MLB on their front office to remake their roster to advance further in the playoffs and to remain a playoff team every year.

Oh, and the Dodgers payroll is still sky high, and the Dodgers are paying a lot of taxes on that payroll, something which the Phillies have never done. That's correct, the Phillies have never paid one dollar of payroll tax.

John Middleton? Well, John Middleton celebrated the Phillies $6 Billion TV deal with Comcast by announcing a rebuild, apparently from the ground up, the fifteen year kind of rebuild where the big club has no payroll and all the TV dollars and other revenue streams distributed by the Commissioners Office go straight into John Middleton's bank accounts.

Rusney Castillo was rumored to be signed by the Phillies, but it was the Red Sox who paid Castillo $72 million to sign. Hanley Ramirez or Pablo Sandoval would have looked great in a Phillies uniform playing third base, but it was the Red Sox who signed both.

Refresh my memory, was it the Red Sox who signed a $6 Billion TV deal or was it the Phillies?

34 YEARS

JIM THOME and CLIFF LEE

That's it.

These two are the only impact free agents signed by this Phillies ownership group in 34 years. You would think looking at this that the Phillies must be located in a rural, mountainous suburb of Pittsburgh rather than the fourth largest market in the USA.

That is FELONY FRAUD, GRAND LARCENY and ORGANIZED CRIME.

Where are the perp walks by the FBI for John Middleton, John Powers Middleton and the Betz and Buck families?

Look at this picture. This is an unaltered screen grab from the Twitter account of John Powers Middleton just hours ago. Read the text. "Gangsta"

Yes sir. "Gangsta" He stole our money.  We the Phillies fan base sold out Citizens Bank Park. We the Phillies fan base delivered the highest attendance in MLB to the Phillies for two straight years (2011 and 2012).

How did the Phillies get a $6 Billion TV deal? The Phillies fans delivered the Phillies the highest local TV ratings in all of MLB.

So how do we the Phillies fans get compensated for this? Why we get a fifteen year rebuild!

Yeah, John Powers Middleton, he be Gangsta baby!

And what about John S. Middleton the father? What's he doing to occupy his time? Turns out he's a busy man. John S. Middleton isn't building a winning baseball team in Philadelphia with all those billions of dollars we Phillies fans gave him, but he is building something in Palm Beach, Florida.

Something really big!

Down in the lower right corner of this picture you can see a wave rolling in. You can also see that John Middleton's little bungalow is bigger than his Palm Beach neighbors little shacks. Oh the property wasn't a vacant lot either, no there was an 8,000+ square foot mansion on the property when John Middleton bought it in 2010. It was not the biggest mansion on the block though and a little 8,000 square foot mansion is like a little A-frame mountain retreat to someone like John Middleton so that had to go. In came the bulldozers while the architect got busy planning this 17,000+ square foot mega-mansion.

More on this later.

I'm still trying to digest the greatest SS in Phillies history being shipped out of town to John Powers Middleton's favorite team in his city for two "prospects" who look like they'll be playing for the Camden Riversharks five years from today.

But hey, that puts another ten million dollars in John Middleton's bank account. The annual property taxes on what you're looking at above in Palm Beach are currently $432,000.

How much would your house sell for?

John Powers Middleton

Yeah Derek, he did Jimmy like that.

"The Phillies Way" by John Powers Middleton

Ruben Amaro has released a new book via Phillies Publishing authored by John Powers Middleton
titled "The Phillies Way".

@johnmiddleton (He's on Twitter!) has stolen $6 Billion in television money from Phillies fans. In addition, the Phillies have cleared at least a billion dollars in profit since Citizens Bank Park opened.

We the fans of the Phillies MLB team sold out Citizens Bank Park, and while the ballpark was still sold out John Middleton nuked the outfield. The Phillies were also well aware that Roy Halladay was done. They had the MRI scans. They knew they needed to sign Yu Darvish or Zack Greinke, but they lied to us. Halladay signed a sweet, short contract that the Phillies had no trouble eating. They had already begun to plan the dismantlement of a five time division winning roster that actually began by pushing Jayson Werth out of town.

Hunter Pence was acquired with the full knowledge that he would be a rental to go for it one last time before they blew it up and began a fifteen year rebuild.

The Phillies know that it will take at least fifteen years. Their farm system is garbage. Every prospect rating outfit from Baseball America to Baseball Prospectus says so. The Phillies know that Maikel Franco and Cody Asche are Camden Riversharks, but they are telling the big lie to their fan base that these MLB frauds are a "new core".

Any Phillies fan who purchases a ticket is the enemy of real Phillies fans. Citizens Bank Park must be emptied completely. Fans need to picket outside the ballpark. Form a picket line of striking fans. Hurl insults at anyone who tries to cross this picket line.

Clare Betz kicked off with $2 Billion. This crook never bought us anything. Her remains should be dug up and defecated upon.

The same for Sally Buck, and James Mahlon Buck and his brother Alexander Buck. They were all worth multiple billions of dollars and they deliberately, and with great malice, defrauded us.

ASSASSINATED

JOHN POWERS MIDDLETON

Free_AEC has been removed from Twitter.

Here are screenshots of tweets made to me from John Powers Middleton ( @johnmiddleton). They of course come in reverse order so read bottom to top.

I found this one morning. Apparently this was triggered by a retweet the previous evening from a bizarre Twitter account composed of retweets.

I then sent a tweet to @johnmiddleton which he responded to directly and then favorited.

If you were holding out hope for a Yankees style buying spree to celebrate the Phillies $6 Billion TV deal with Comcast then you can go ahead and cancel your season tickets. The Middletons are back stabbers and bloodsuckers.

The war with Scott Boras continues. A new war is waged against Rusney Castillo's agent Jay Z, and the buscones in the Dominican Republic and their counterparts in Venezuela are in the crosshairs as surely was my Twitter account.

If you enjoyed the Phillies 2014 season then you're going to be thrilled with what they have for you in 2015, which will be year four of the Phillies 20 year rebuild to be conducted exclusively through the MLB plantation slave draft.

Throw your arm up in the Roman salute to your leader John Powers Middleton.

Let's not forget Dad - John S. Middleton - and his war criminal girlfriend Condoleezza Rice either.
